Addressing personal and community trauma, and social and emotional health, through individual, couples and family counseling and group workshops, is an integral part of our program mission.  Led by Founding Executive Director, Barbara McGhee, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Community Response has secured mental health program contracts with the Saint Louis City’s Circuit Attorney’s Office, Better Family Life Incorporated and Saint Louis City Juvenile Courts. These contracts allow Community Response staff and contractors to provide quality mental health counseling and staff development in order to empower individuals to overcome mental health obstacles and to assist social service staff to better meet the needs of their customers.


Therapy Session


Community Response employs Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Professional Counselors, who are skilled and able to provide quality individual, couples, and family therapy.  Some of our treatment modalities include:

  • Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)

  • Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) 

  • Integrated and Holistic Therapy

Psychoanalytic Therapy; and more

Our Therapist offer in-home, office, and telehealth therapy options for those in need. Our team of clinicians are contracted to accept most insurance plans, or offer sliding scale self pay options as well.  Please contact our office at 314-685-8834 to locate the right therapist for you.


Staff Development Training

Community Response Therapists are able to provide quality staff development trainings and Lunch n Learn events for your staff.  In addition, we are able to offer CEU credits for staff, in most cases.

  • Responding to Clients with a Trauma History-What Every Staff Member Should Know
